Lots of new stuff in Stockpress this month — here’s the rundown. 👀
What’s new in Stockpress in March 2026 (TL;DR)
- Canva integration — Browse, search, and add approved Stockpress assets to Canva designs without leaving Canva.
- AI Image Editor — New tools to erase foreground objects, blur or replace backgrounds, expand images beyond the original frame, and upscale resolution.
- File Trash — Deleted files now move to Trash and can be restored for up to 60 days (retention varies by plan).
- Adobe InDesign plugin — Open, edit, and save InDesign files directly to a Stockpress workspace from inside InDesign.
- Custom Fields — Add freeform text, paragraph, or link fields to any file for richer, more searchable metadata.
Canva integration: search and add Stockpress assets from inside Canva
You asked, we built it. The Stockpress Canva integration gives you access to your entire Stockpress library without leaving Canva. Search, filter, and drop your approved brand assets directly into your Canva designs.
AI Image Editor: new tools added in March 2026
The Stockpress Image Editor got a serious upgrade. In addition to the existing crop and flip tools, it now includes:
- Erase foreground objects — Remove in-focus objects from a photo.
- Blur backgrounds — Pick a blur intensity and apply it.
- Replace or generate backgrounds — Select a file or describe a new background in plain text and generate it.
- Expand images — Extend an image beyond its original frame.
- Increase resolution — Upscale low-resolution images (great for when that LinkedIn headshot is just a little too pixelated).
File Trash: restore deleted files for up to 60 days
Because accidentally deleting things happens. Deleted files now go to Trash instead of disappearing forever. You have up to 60 days to restore them, depending on your Stockpress plan tier.

Adobe InDesign plugin
The Stockpress Adobe InDesign plugin lets you create, open, edit, and place files from inside InDesign — and save your work directly back to your Stockpress workspace without leaving the app.

Custom Fields: freeform metadata for any file
Custom Tag Categories are great for taxonomies, but sometimes you need more. Custom Fields let you add your own single-line text, paragraph, or link fields to any file — giving you more structure, more searchable metadata, and more control over how your library is organized.
| Feature | Best for |
|---|---|
| Custom Tag Categories | Predefined taxonomies and controlled vocabularies |
| Custom Fields | Freeform text, longer descriptions, or URLs attached to a file |
