About Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart:

Stone Ridge is an independent K-12 school with a strong sense of mission, serving just under 800 students and 200 staff members. Located in a bustling metropolitan area, the school prides itself on its dedication to providing a nurturing environment for both students and their families. The marketing and communications team at Stone Ridge plays a vital role in sharing this message and keeping the community engaged with school life.

The challenge: Two separate systems, too many file management frustrations

Before Stockpress, Stone Ridge’s marketing team faced a major organizational headache. Photos, documents, and other assets were stored in separate systems — one for internal use among staff and another for sharing photos with parents. “We were using Google Drive for storing internal photos, but it lacked organization and tagging capabilities,” says Kate Kalas, Director of Marketing and Communications at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. . “Then, we had a completely different system to share photos with families, which meant managing two systems and never knowing where assets were.”

This lack of centralization was a real bottleneck. As the school grew, so did the amount of digital assets the marketing and communications team was creating, and therefore so did the need for better organization and easy access to assets for both staff and parents. “We realized we needed a solution that could handle everything in one place — something flexible that could work for different user needs and be secure.”

The solution: Stockpress – DAM to the rescue.

Kate had previously had a great experience implementing Stockpress at a top-tier U.S. university, so when she moved to Stone Ridge, she knew exactly what the team needed. “When I came to Stone Ridge, I brought Stockpress with me. It was an easy decision because I already knew how well it worked,” Kate says. “Stockpress is intuitive, customizable, and most importantly, it fits our needs perfectly.”

With Stockpress, everything was moved to one centralized space. Staff could access photos, create collections, and share them with parents—all within a single platform. “Now, everyone uses Stockpress—staff, parents, and students. It’s one central location for everything…” says Kate.

Results: Simplified school marketing and communications

Since implementing Stockpress, Stone Ridge has seen a huge boost in productivity. The ability to quickly create Collections, tag assets, and share them securely has made the team’s workflow much more efficient. “One of my favorite features is how quickly I can create a Collection and send it out to someone. Whether it’s for a designer, a parent, or a student, I can just create a quick Collection, generate a link, and share it.” Kate explains.

Parents now have access to a personalized portal where they can view and download photos of their kids—whether from an event or just everyday moments at school. With Stockpress, there’s no more confusion about where to find assets or whether the right photo is being shared with the right people. It’s all tagged and organized in one place.

The security features also played a crucial role. “As we deal with assets of minors, having the right security measures was non-negotiable. Stockpress allows us to control user roles and permissions, watermark photos, and even document photo consent. That’s been huge for us.” says Kate.

Why Stone Ridge School chose Stockpress:

For Kate and the Stone Ridge School Marketing and Communications team, Stockpress wasn’t just another digital asset management system—it was the solution they didn’t know they were missing. The flexibility of Stockpress to adapt to their specific needs and the level of support provided by the team made all the difference. “The customer service is amazing. Ian and Jessica were there every step of the way, helping us think through our needs and how we could customize the system to fit them.” Kate says.

“Stockpress has always been an accessible, intuitive solution, and I knew it would work well here too!”
